About Studio Palette

Studio Palette is an art and applied-art studio in Sacramento, California. For over 15 years we have taught children from age 5, teens and adults to draw, paint and sculpt, in small groups, with professional materials, and with teachers who are working artists.

A clear path through art

Our main course is the Annual Art Program for ages 5 to 18: September to May, weekly two-hour classes and eight modules, from acrylic painting to sculpture and pastel. Each module ends with a finished piece. We also run summer art classes and master classes, and every new student can take a free trial class.

Taught by practicing artists

Classes are led by Natalie, the studio’s founder and lead artist, and Katerina, lead artist and instructor. Both make their own art, and you can see it in the lead artists’ gallery. Students learn real technique from people who use it every day. Classes are taught in English and Russian.

Small groups, real attention

Groups have six to eight students, so the teacher can help everyone at the easel. In the annual program, students are grouped by age: 5–7, 8–10, 11–13 and 14–18. Adults join our summer classes and master classes. Tuition is $200 a month for one class a week, and all materials are included.

More than classes

Our artists also create murals, mosaics, decorative finishes and restoration for homes and businesses. We host art birthday parties and private workshops, and we work with charter schools as an approved vendor.
